Catholics Returning Home

We know that life always has ups and downs, twists, and turns. Maybe you decided to leave decades ago or maybe it was just this morning. Maybe you never really decided one way or the other, but just sort of drifted away. Maybe you felt burned or betrayed by an individual who was supposed to represent the Church. Maybe you thought the Church was too full of hypocrites or maybe you thought you were too much of a hypocrite to stay. Whatever your situation, we want it to be very clear that there is a place for you here with us!

The Returning Catholics process is for Catholics who have drifted away from the Catholic Church and want to become reacquainted. Some drift away after college, some are hurt after a disagreement with a church person, and some just get busy and fall out of the habit of attending. Whatever the reason for leaving, the Returning Catholics process is geared at welcoming Catholics back and helping them to feel better connected to the Church while updating them on current Church teaching.

Adult Confirmation

Adult Confirmation is part of the Returning Catholics process (since much of the information is the same). If you are an adult (over 18 years of age) and have not been confirmed, you may attend the Returning Catholics process this Spring, and then you will be eligible for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

FAQ
How do I return?

If you simply stopped coming on your own, all you need to do is make a good confession! We offer confessions every Wednesday and Friday from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, or by appointment. If you would like to talk to someone beforehand, please contact us and we would be happy to help you. Do not be afraid, ashamed, or embarrassed if it has been a while and you do not really remember how to go to confession, Fr. Mark & Fr. Julio would be happy to assist you!
